Selecting
an adoption agency is one of the most important decisions you will make
during the adoption process. Each agency is different. Please
take the time to shop around. Inquire about:
- Fees and costs
- Homestudy procedure
- Support provided before and
after placement
- How the agency handles any
problems that come up during the process
- Willingness to answer questions
- Staff's level of patience or
"bedside manner"
- Support provided during China
travel
- Contacting former clients
There are many more questions than
can be listed here. Please take the time to do your research before
making a final decision. Beside
each agency, we have listed the city and state location of their primary
office. Please note that many of the agencies have offices in
several states and some are nationwide in their coverage. You do not
have to select an agency located in your home state.
