Enjoying the Bluebonnet Fields

in New Ulm, Texas

Spring in Texas is very nice.  We always enjoy the bluebonnets and other wildflowers in the countryside.  Many of the small Texas towns between Houston and Austin have festivals or antique shows.  Both of the girls are getting to be accomplished shoppers.  They also get excited whenever we can find a park with good playground equipment!

In 2002, we returned to China to adopt Leah.  Hannah got to spend over two weeks playing with Cindy's parents while we were in China.  When we arrived home on March 8th, Hannah finally got to meet her "Mei-Mei" (little sister)!

In January, 2003 we went to Austin to have Leah's adoption recognized by the State of Texas.  After court, we stopped by the office of the agency we used to help us through the adoption process - Great Wall China Adoption.  Their director, Snow Wu, came to Austin from Beijing.  She takes a personal interest in each child and is always delighted to see how the girls are doing.

Steve with Hannah and Leah on Easter, 2003

After two Easter egg hunts on Saturday, church on Sunday,

and way too much Chocolate, the girls were pretty tired!
